Integrating Azlo’s banking services into Google’s Workspace.
How can a startup bank serving small businesses compete against massive financial institutions? How can a company with a limited runway expand its functionality to rival some of the deepest pockets in the world?

Inspiration
Asana: Gmail CRM Integrations
The idea came from companies like Salesforce and Asana. Both these companies realized that the primary channel from customer relations moved through and was based around email. Google realized that by opening its platform to these APIs, it could reduce steps and remove chokepoints in the process while using contextual data to auto-generate comms.
Easily search for tasks
Instead of opening Asana, the integration allows users to simply search for that task directly from their Gmail inbox.
Capture tasks without leaving
Users create Asana tasks directly from their Gmail inbox. Any tasks created from Gmail automatically include the context from your email.
Take action
Users can comment or complete it primary functions from Gmail while having perfect records of each interaction.
Banking without moving
By realizing the power of bundling productivity with banking, Azlo realized that they could leverage the immense computing power of a company like Google to streamline their users’ daily banking needs without bringing on a huge amount of development needs.
Azlo’s Chrome + G-suite integration was the solution. By using Google APIs as well as the BaaS (Banking as a Service) functionality of Azlo’s parent company (BBVA), we were able to create a solution where we were not spending valuable engineering resources on creating net-new products that were already in the market; we brought the functionality to an environment that was already the hub of their activity.
